Hey! My name is Caysie Holley. I am a senior at Berry but I don’t know how that happened so fast. I am from Fort Pierce, Florida where I went to Lincoln Park High School. I play golf for the Lady Vikings and love all of the different places that we get to travel too. I love to be outside and spend most of my time at home riding horses, four-wheelers, kayaking or playing golf. I was in Southern Swines 4-H Club for 10 years and absolutely loved everything about it. I was thrilled to discover that Berry’s “motto” was Head, Heart and Head because that was 3 of the 4 “H’s” that I had grown up with.
When I was young I wanted to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World – seriously. When I came to Berry I had o idea what I wanted to do with my collegiate career. I have been a Marketing major, a Communications Major, a Geology major but I have finally settled on Exercise Science. I really enjoy all of the classes associated with the major. Last Spring I was able to intern with Advance Rehab in Rome, GA and the experience that I got there reaffirmed my decision to become a physical or occupational therapist. I would eventually like to do hippotherapy as well one day. I have been blessed to have a friend who has an Autistic son and he has inspired me to want to work with special needs children. Physical Therapy should have been a more obvious choice for me when I came to Berry, beings that I have been going for a knee injury since I was 13. I have always been fascinated with how the body moves and more specifically why I can do so many different things that other people can’t. Last year, thanks to my athletic trainer, I found out that I had a genetic disorder which allows me to be uber flexible, but also puts me at high risk for injury. It allows me to be a yoga master but it also keeps me in a constant battle for stability, one which I often lose.
I absolutely LOVE country music. I listen to all types but country is my hands down favorite. And for anyone who even remotely knows me, they know that Martina McBride is my favorite. Always has been, always will be. I got the chance to meet her over the summer and it was fantastic. Ideally I would like to live in Nashville some day and just enjoy country music city. I have amazing friends and family – even my “family” that isn’t related. Anything else you wanna know, just ask! Bazinga!
